Dealing with handling duplicate files
AnsweredDon't know if this is expected behavior but depending on which form or screen I'm getting different behavior in handling a duplicate file being added to a document (sub) library, but the big issue is within the form I'm not getting the option I get at the document library (last example below) to keep/replace.
Display
In display mode and added an email a second time and it gave me the error shown, so I then clicked down to modify the name (adding -2), and then was able to save.
Edit
Here there shows red warning icon (!) when you hover over offers to add to existing as a new version or replace, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to do this here. I was able to modify the name (added -3) and then could save it.
At the document library
Here you get the option to replace or keep both, and 'keep both' automatically adds the (n).

Hi Dale Zach,
we've implemented a new option on the sublibrary configuration exactly for that purpose 😊 It happens, because if you configure to open the editform of the document after upload, the file was no really uploaded until you pressed save and then the error occured.
Now there is a new option since May 9th 2024 -> "Save file before open edit form"
Having this activated the Keep / Replace dialog will show first and then the edit form will open where you can make all your changes.Kind regards
Matthias
