Disabled People Picker field still allowing removing of people
Original Post by Thong Kha (Imported from Ardevia Forum)
Hi,
I have two People Picker fields on the edit form of my Sharepoint list (Approver and Requester). If I disable the fields, users are still able to remove the people that are already populated in the list.
The reason I'm disabling them is that I ran into a problem with expressions not evaluating if I have those fields hidden, since my expressions are depending on those fields. For instance, enable Approver Comments field only if Approver is the current user. If I hide the Approver field, that expression will not work.
Is there a way of either preventing users from removing people from a people picker field when the field is disabled, or using hidden fields in expressions?
Hope you can help.
Thank you.

Fields hidden using visible expressions can still be used in expressions. So if you use visible expression =false to hide the Approver field, you can still use it in the expression to enable/disable the Approver Comments field.
Being able to delete selected users in a disabled people picker field seems to be a bug though. We will verify and fix it.

Thank you. I have the expressions working now. I think the problem was that I had those fields set to Display Only.
