Displaying tabs to certain users - Needing to show different tabs to different users

Hello,
I have placed a Tabs section on a form that contains a total of three tabs.
I have inserted different fields in each tabs so that people can approve the form.
What is the best way to display the tabs to only certain people or groups?
If I restrict the fields in the tab to certain people will the tab still be visible to all users with no fields displayed?
Please advise

Hi Sean,
Yes you are right tab will be still visible if you put restriction only for certain fields, if you want to hide particular tab item as well with fields in it, this will require a bit of JavaScript coding on visible expression of field/group inside the tab to hide tab item along with group/fields and probably activate another tab item if it was initially selected.
Just as information we use jQuery-ui tabs control.Hope you got the idea.
