Disabling Sublist and Sublist Columns help

I'm new to using Ardevia Pro, and I can't seem to disable an entire sublist or sublist columns so they'll be read only.
I've tried using [[@User.Email]] = "", and things like [[@SubListCurrentRow.SubList.Title]] = "" in the Enabled formula boxes for the control and the sub-column fields. Neither of those fields are blank, and the expression builder tests work (and show my email address for @user.email so I know it's being picked up, but the sublist / columns remain editable.
Am I doing something wrong, or am I misunderstanding how this works (disabling doesn't actually make them read only)?

Hi Riann.
It looks like you use assignment operator (=) instead of equals operator (==).
Please try to use Expression Builder window operators in the bottom.
