Need the ability to hide or disable buttons depending on another form field value
Original Post by Sandy (Imported from Ardevia Forum)
Hi,
I have a form that I need to hide a button or disable the button depending on the value of a status column.
I currently have a visible assignment expression against that button and the button is never hidden, whether it matches the criteria or not.e.g I don't want to show a Delete button if the form has previously been submitted.
I just tried it on another field, and it didn't work on that either.
I am on Skybow Rich Forms 3.0.2.0 with a patch recently applied to fix another issue related to opening a web page.
Thanks
Sandy

Hi Sandy,
Please, ensure your expression, which you use to disable/enable and show/hide a button starts with "=" and contains only valid parameters.
If the problem still exists, please, provide some more information, like assignment expression you use in Expression Builder on Behaviou Tab and a type of form which you are working with.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,

Hi Oleg,
I have checked the expressions and even gone as far as re-creating the form again (it is the display form) and it is still not working.I have been able to create another form with one sub-list on it and it works fine.
The expression I have is as follows: =[[Status]]=="Saved"
This form has 3 sub-lists included on it, don't know if that has any effect or not.
Thanks

Hi Sandy,
Thanks for your reply.
It doesn't matter whether mail list have one sub-list or more.
But I still can't reproduce it.
Could you please provide screenshot of the form, type of Status field? We also can conduct an online support using skype or teamviewer to make easier to find the reason of an issue.
Thanks,
Best Regards,
