Form source
Hello,
can someone tell me where is the real source code of a form.
If I go example to formmstorelibrary and edit the html file from a form, nothing on the form changes.
Where could I find a file which changes affect on the real form?
Thank you in advance

Hello Senad Omicevic,
If you need to get the source of any form you need to open a form in Edit mode(Edit page) and on the ribbon select Format text -> Edit source.
Hope it will help you.
Best Regards,
Oleg Kachmar

Hi Oleg Kachmar,
It's not about the source code, I know that way and it's mostly helpful. I would rather have a external file which can be modified and affect/modify that way the form itself.
Thank you

Hi Senad Omicevic,
The source code of Rich Forms is saved by the Content Editor Web Part.
So to access that source you need to use Format text -> Edit source from ribbon as Oleg Kachmar mentioned above or by using SharePoint Designer.
In Content Editor Web Part you can define Content Link to external file and it will display that file.
So you can copy content from Format text -> Edit source dialog, save it to some external file on you site and than set link to that file in Content Link property.
But in this case Content Editor web part will only show content from you external file and if you change something in Rich Forms Editor it will not be saved.

Hello Andrii Katsiubka,
this looks perfect! I've succeed to accomplish this and the result is very good.
There is just one thing, after linking the CEWP and reloading, the form creates another CEWP for rich forms. I hid it for now, but if there is a way to delete it i would know how. (After normal delete it refresh the page and recreate it again).

Thank you

Rich Forms add CEWP without Content Link if it missed, because originally it should be used for designing form.
So at the moment it will add new web part if delete it. But it should not breaks anything.

Sharepoint is a very dynamic system and every sitepage or webpage is a result of a template, configuration parameters, webparts and your personal security wrights. Because of this you only will find a real code somewere inside the cache of the browser.
