You could try to set read permissions for this user (or group) on the hidden library '<your site>/FormsStoreLibrary' which is used by Ardevia Rich Forms.

But probably the issue is that the app is only available to users who have permissions to the site. Don't know of any way to set the permissions specifically for a specific app instance (or app web).

I had already tried altering the FormsStoreLibrary list permission to no avail, so I guess I will have to give them access to the entire site and not just the library.

I found there is a way to explicitly set permissions for the app web. Just go to <appweb>/_layouts/15/user.aspx for the app web of Rich Forms. You can select "Stop Inheriting Permissions" there and add the approriate users permissions specifically for the Rich Forms app web. Hope that works and will help you avoid having to give users permissions to the whole site.
