Lookup Field in Sub-Library

I have a lookup column in a library linking to a list. The correspondig list forms are modifiied by RichForms. Is it possible to automatically set the correct lookup value in the sub-library when uploading or creating a file and not just moving it to the correct folder?

    There is no functionality directly matching your requirement just with the Rich Forms Add-In since there is no event driven action handling you could use to execute when a document is uploaded to the sublibrary.

    For sure you can configure such an action and link it to button's click or automatically on each form load, but both executions has their issues: user has to click after each document upload or performance-intensive form loading. 

     

    If you're using SharePoint Online I think you should be able to use Metadata inheritance of Solution Studio Online to get an easy solution of your requirement.

    If you're using SharePoint OnPrem with our Server Platform Product, the Dossier Management includes setting lookup to the main-item automatically on sublibrary documents.
