Set permissions/restrictions on columns in view
AnsweredWe do have a list with different columns. While using the rich forms add in we are able to enable them and make them visible for people, who are member of a specific group. Works perfect. The only problem is that I can't find a nice solution to hide columns in views based on the same idea (enable/visible to people who are member of a group). I know that we can adjust permissions to prevent people from creating views, viewing version history, and setting up alerts, just to make sure that they don't see the hidden information.
I already looked up in the community and found the same question from 2017: https://skybow.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360007694099-Column-Permission-with-Calculated-Value-Expression
Just wanted to know if the answer is still valid and there is actually no option to meet this requirement with skybow
Thanks in advance for your input.

Hi Evelyn Igerz
The answer Matthias gave then is still valid - there is no column permission (or just hiding) on list views available.
In general the most specific permission is on item level (with all metadata of it).If you're looking for a solution to restrict users seeing specific metadata of an item, try to handle it in two lists with different permission and configure an update/sync logic for the specific values.
