How to retract skybow functionality
The retracting of skybow functionality consists of two parts: Deployment and Solution Studio.
Deployment
-
Publish
Before you go ahead and delete your solution, make sure to remove all your deployments from the Publish section in Solution Studio first.
Note: In case using Manual add-in deployment you need to delete installed package manually from the site and app catalog
If you select option 'Remove skybow customization from site' on Remove deployment dialog it will do the following:
- Uncustomize Modern Forms, List Actions and Automation Actions
- Remove urls from content types
- Remove user custom actions from list and web
- Remove SPFx app from deployment site.
To use this option user should have Manage Lists permissions to do this.
Note 1: this option works only for Modern features.
Note 2: In case you are using Automation Actions on the modern page you need to delete this web part manually from each page.
-
Package
After deleting all deployments remove all packages from Package section.
For deleting on deployment sites:
-
Classic features
- skybow Rich Forms
If there were forms customized using skybow Rich Forms you can delete the "Rich Forms Editor" web part from the specific form and clear the JSLink property from the default Listform web part.
-
- skybow List View Search
If there was skybow List View Search used on a list view for filtering, you can delete the "Search" web part from the specific view and clear the JSLink property from the list view webpart.
-
- skybow Action Links
If there were skybow Action Links used simply delete the web part where it has been placed and you probably see an error after deleting the hidden libraries.
Solution Studio
-
Modern features
In case using modern features (Modern Forms, List Actions, Automation Actions) you can delete solution in My Solutions page and select 'Remove skybow customization from site' option. This will do the following:
- Uncustomize Modern Forms, List Actions and Automation Actions
- Remove urls from content types
- Remove user custom actions from list and web
- Remove SPFx app from the site.
Note 1: In case you are using Automation Actions on the modern page you need to delete this web part manually from each page.
Note 2: In case you are using classic features in the solution you need to do the following as mentioned below.
-
Classic features
- skybow Rich Forms
If there were forms customized using skybow Rich Forms first uncustomize these forms.
-
- skybow List View Search
If there was skybow List View Search used on a list view for filtering, you can delete the "Search" web part from the specific view and clear the JSLink property from the list view webpart.
-
- skybow Action Links
If there were skybow Action Links used simply delete the web part where it has been placed.
After this you can delete the solution from My Solutions tab
Hidden libraries
There are a couple of hidden lists that are used for the configuration of the features. Not all are always available, it depends if they have been used. To delete them simply enter the url manually in your browser or use SharePoint Designer (we know that not all of you have still installed this ancient tool...).
- [siteurl]/FormsStoreLibrary
- [siteurl]/sbActionLinks
- [siteurl]/sbDocumentGenerator
- [siteurl]/sbListViewSearch
- [siteurl]/sbSolutionAssets
- [siteurl]/sbSolutionStudio
In the Site Assets library there are a couple of folders that can be deleted.
Note: these libraries need to delete on source site where Solution is created as well on deployment site.
Background features
Background features are deleted automatically after deleting deployment or solution. If you've used our background features (Metadata Inheritance, Aggregation, Calculated Expressions, Scheduled/Triggered Actions) there might be a Site App Permission notifications.skybow.com, that can be removed from "Site Settings -> Site App Permissions".
With those steps there should be nothing left from skybow on your site.
